SenseWalk’s project team is running a new experiment in an attempt to evaluate walking behavior in conditions with different auditory cues and surface types. We are recruiting healthy young adults in the age range of 18-35 years, who perform gait tasks on rough and smooth surfaces with or without dual task conditions. Our dual task conditions involve naturalistic tasks such as sending a text message on your mobile while walking! The objective of the experiment is to examine whether
congruent or incongruent auditory stimuli will impact their spatiotemporal gait parameters during both single and dual-task walking.
